SRO

Single Room Occupency is simply put – a single room. The tenant will spend their time in this one room, and will also sleep in this room. While a SRO is not for everyone, in the event of having a SRO, or being homeless, the SRO will usually be the preferable option. SROs are not supported by Section-8, so anyone with a SRO will not be able to rent to the tenants without some compromise to be made. SROs lack a kitchenette, and usually will also lack a bathroom, however – some SROs can have a bathroom. When a bathroom is not available, then there will be a shared bathroom that everyone uses.
