Pittsburgh Regional Transit is the public transit system for all of Allegheny County. Not all communities are served, and PRT has terminated routes before therefore reducing the flexibility of the system. PRT operates buses, funicular inclines, and Light Rail Train lines. Bus fare varies whether the rider has a fare card or not. Those with a fare card can use a pass they activated, activate a ready to use pass, or get a 3 hour pass with every time the need calls for it. Obviously, there must be enough funds on the fare card is you aren’t using any passes. The 3 hour pass is automatic.
