Voice Over Internet Protocol is the method of carrying voice communications of the internet. This could be done through a number of providers, but in most cases – an Analog Telephone Adapter or a Wireless Fidelity telephone is to be used. VOIP will be the standard for any communication that is not carried by the cellular towers or using a satellite phone.
