Digital Subscriber Line is the successor to POTS phone services as far as connecting to the internet goes. As the POTS networks shut down, so does the DSL services since they require a POTS connection, and sometimes even a POTS telephone number to connect to the internet. If offered other solutions, then they should be strongly considered as DSL is likely to not exceed 20MBPS.
